One of a Kind Details...

Part of what made creating this home stay so much fun was collecting and creating furnishings to accessorize the space.  I love to chalk paint and have my own line of paint we sell downstairs at Nest Interiors.  I particularly love adding paper products as a detail.  This table I created is an old window from a house in New Orleans, cleaned and repainted with my paints "creole tomato" and "bubblegum snoball"; I added hair pin legs plus in each glass pane I decoupaged in pieces of a vintage Louisiana roadmap.
This sweet nightstand was a $15 bargain.  I mixed colors "spanish moss" and "oyster" for a custom color and then did a white wash.  Brand new "vintage style" hardware improved it too...the chevron paper inside; it's wrapping paper I saved!
This small 2H cabinet was gifted to me...and not in the best shape.  After gluing and clamping to get it structurally secure once again, I painted it in "cotton", a bright white.  Added some reproduction glass knobs in a bright and fun yellow.  Again, the paper inside is wrapping paper I saved...it looks great and is such a surprise when you open the cabinet.  It holds our linens for the sofa bed in the living space.

There's lots more to see, but I really need to tell you we are almost full for 2018...thank you!  One open weekend remains, December 8th.  Which just happens to coinincide with our Christmas Parade that night.  I have it on good authority that it will pass right by the building as in years past.  Watch it from the street or up above from Le Roost.  Check our availability now:
